As mentioned in previous comments, this series is in a different league compared to all the other action + comedy + ecchi manga out there. There's an intricate plot behind the entire story, and while there're plenty of brainless fights, some of the battles actually do rely more on strategy than on brawn. 315f6v

Dendrobates is pure distilled action movie badassery in manga form, without being too oversexed a la James Bond. A real treat for people like me who love action flicks but find the Hollywood forumula, where the (white) good guy fights black/Latino/effeminate/Muslim, etc. villains and emerges victorious with the beautiful (also white, or perhaps Latino) girl in his arms daunting.

Despite my not being a fan of survival horror, La Mosa really captivated me. The action scenes are nicely illustrated, the characters (with the exception of the protagonist, Hiken, and his sister, who're genuinely good people) are not at all hateful despite being selfish ba***rds, and the plot has just enough twists to keep you entertained, but not enough to be infeasible.

An imaginative sci-fi retelling of Alice in Wonderland. Erika (aka Alice) is a brat but an oddly likeable one, Shivakumar is endearing in a weird way, and the cast as a whole is full of quirky goodness. The ugly-cute art style was very fitting, as was the bizarre worldbuilding.

Overall, a good choice if you're in the mood for some light humour and a random - but engaging - plot. Be sure to check...

Not all that bad, really, but I can't in good conscience give a higher rating, because everything in C-Blossom has been done before (more than once), and done better. Perhaps Boukoku no Aegis is one of those which does it better, but -- most likely due to the constraints of the shoujo demographic -- this manga never rises above average.

Plot: I could see everything in this coming at least 5-10...

That was...pretty awful, to say the least. I almost can't believe this is by my favourite action mangaka, even given that it was one of his first projects.

The plot is dumb, the fights are cliché, ludicrous, and not even remotely exciting, the good guys are dull as ditchwater, the bad guys are mind-numbing caricatures of evil, the romance came out of left field and was more baffling than anything....
