Manga creator Keisuke Itagaki revealed on Tuesday that he plans to end Hanma Baki, his ongoing Baki The Grappler manga series, in 10 more chapters or less. Itagaki made the announcement during Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shonen Champion launch event. 636329

Itagaki also said that there is a possibility that he will return to the main Baki The Grappler manga, after taking a break.

Itagaki's original Baki The Grappler martial arts manga ran in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine from 1991 to 1999. Hanma Baki has been running in the same magazine since 2005, and the 35th compiled book volume will ship next month. Baki The Grappler has received several manga sequels, two television anime adaptations, and an OAV (original animation video).
